Amrita Institute of Medical sciences hosts live surgery workshop on total knee replacement

KOCHI: A live surgery workshop on total knee replacement was held at Amrita Institute of Medical sciences in Kochi on Saturday. Dr Pratapan Nair, principal, Amrita School of Medicine, inaugurated the workshop.
Renowned knee surgeon from Germany, Dr Alois Franz, joint replacement surgeon in Amrita Dr. Vijayamohan and former professor and HOD, Baby memorial Hospital, Calicut, Dr.NJ Mani, led the live surgery demonstrations. Around 40 joint replacement surgeons from different parts of Kerala participated in the programme.
The workshop gave an opportunity to the young surgeons to learn the latest developments in knee replacement surgery.
